Some subjects feel uniquely Hawaiian, and for me, the Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa has always been one of them.
Surrounded by hibiscus blooms, plumeria flowers, and tropical foliage, Humu Harmony celebrates the vibrant character of Hawaiʻi's state fish. Rather than focusing on realism alone, I wanted to capture the feeling of the islands bright, joyful, and deeply connected to the natural world. Every element was chosen to evoke the warmth, color, and quiet magic that make Hawaiʻi unlike anywhere else.
Painted in watercolor on handmade deckled edge paper, this one of a kind original is framed, hand signed, custom embossed, and ready to hang. The artwork measures approximately 12×16 inches framed, includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity, and will be carefully packed and shipped from my studio on the south shore of Kauaʻi.
