Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Just a 10min drive from the Mexican boarder. My heritage is proudly Mexican-American.

How long have you been tattooing?

I originally started tattooing in 2008, but took a long pause to focus on school and other creative pursuits. I picked it back up again in 2020 while living abroad in Bali, Indonesia during the pandemic lockdowns.

At the time, I purchased equipment from friends who were selling their equipment to make ends meet during the pandemic... I was amazed by how much the tattoo industry had evolved, especially the shift toward wireless machines and cartridge needle systems. Working from my art studio in Bali, I began practicing on synthetic skins and reconnecting with tattooing through the lens of my background in fine art, painting, and illustration.

Soon after, close friends began asking me to tattoo them. There was already a deep sense of trust because art has always been a central part of my life. My friends knew that and so what started as a creative exploration quickly evolved into the professional tattoo practice I continue today.

What got you into tattooing?

Art has always been the foundation of my life. Growing up, I was always in love with Chicano style tattoos, airbrushed artwork, and the imagery found in magazines like Lowrider Magazine. I remember standing in the checkout lines at the grocery store and taking my time to flip through the pages, admiring the emotional storytelling, the quality of the artist craftsmanship, and strong sense of identity behind it all.

For me, tattooing became another medium to explore creatively. When I first picked up the machine, it felt familiar, like reconnecting with nostalgic memories, heritage, and parts of myself that had always been there. I enjoy creating from that emotional place of connection, culture, and personal history, and I hope to continue carrying that feeling into the work I make.

What is your deposit / reschedule policy

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment date and goes toward the final cost of your tattoo. I kindly ask for a minimum of a 10 day notice for reschedules. Deposits may be forfeited for repeated reschedules, no-shows, or same-day cancellations.

When will I see the design?

You won’t see the design before the date of your appointment. This is because I am typically working on multiple of creative projects at one time for clients.

Everything we discuss during your consultation after submitting your tattoo inquiry and booking process is carefully reviewed before I begin designing. Your reference images, ideas, and overall vision are all taken into account while still allowing space for artistic interpretation and creating something that will translate best as a tattoo long term.

This process allows me to stay fully focused on each individual project rather than dividing creative energy across multiple unfinished designs at once. Minor adjustments can always be made together at the appointment to ensure the final piece feels aligned, intentional, and personal to you.
