Honu Sweethearts was inspired by sea turtles moving together through the Pacific ocean, calm, steady, and deeply connected. There’s something about the way they exist side by side that feels effortless, like a quiet kind of love that doesn’t need to be forced.

For me, this piece represents partnership and emotional closeness, but in a way that feels grounded and natural. Not loud, not overwhelming, just present, soft, and real. The ocean becomes part of that feeling, holding space for that connection.
