Rather than capturing an entire landscape or botanical scene, this piece focuses on a single hibiscus bloom. By isolating the flower and studying its form, movement, and subtle variations in light, I wanted to celebrate the quiet elegance that often goes unnoticed in everyday life.

Painted in a monochromatic palette of blues, this study transforms a familiar tropical flower into something contemplative and timeless. With a limited color palette I wanted to allow the eye to focus on texture, shape, and composition while creating a sense of calm and simplicity.

For me, this piece is a reminder that beauty does not always need to be loud or complex. Sometimes it can be found in a single flower, observed closely and appreciated for exactly what it is.
